CLINIQUE BRUSH-ON CREAM LINER – TRUE BLACK – REVIEW

After Wayanad and Valparai trip, I didn’t write much of any product review or respond to any sponsors email. I’ve been bit occupied lately. The renovation work at home kept me so busy…
Well…Today’s article is about Clinique brush-on cream eye liner.
It costs Rs.1450 for 5 g. The shelf life comes around two years and four months!
How does it feel?
The first thing that I love about this product is the color. Its pitch dark and exceeds expectation to the name ‘True Black’. And, I’ve never used gel or cream eyeliner before. As this is my first cream eyeliner, I bought it directly from the Clinique store at Phoenix market city, Velachery after a couple of trials.
The creamy texture eases eye-defining and glides smoothly. Unlike liquid eyeliner, it’s much easier to apply and dries off quickly. And, also it’s easier to create smokey eye effect before it dries. One stroke is enough to give a bright intense color. Its smudge proof and doesn’t flake or smear especially no raccoon eyes. It doesn’t irritate my eyes. Besides, it’s waterproof and stays longer. I like the matte finish and it gives naturally defined eye-lines.
The product comes with a small eye-liner brush. And, my first trial with this brush didn’t go well. I couldn’t draw perfect lines with the tiny brush. So, I bought size 00 brush used for painting at a nearby store. Now, it becomes easy for me to draw curves but make sure to wipe off the brush to remove excess product. Otherwise, it hardens the bristle.
It leaves a beautiful tinted eye-line until next day. Definitely, I would buy it again!!
