CLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED SILK MAKEUP SPF 15 FOUNDATION – 18 SILK SABLE – REVIEW

Summer is getting hotter here!! Despite the hot weather bike ride with your friend on the sunny evening is more exciting…
We went to shop at Phoenix mall and came across the Clinique store. They have a wide range of beauty products and Clinique’s artist in the store helps you to choose products that are best for your skin tone. We bought a few beauty products including Clinique brush-on cream eye-liner and Clinique pop liquid matte lip color after a few trials.
Today’s article is about Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup SPF 15 foundation. It costs Rs.2900 for 30 ml. The shelf life comes around two years!
How does it feel?
I just love it!! Yeah, after trying out a few foundations, this seems to be promising! Silk sable is a perfect shade for dusky skin tone and it gives a natural look.
Silk Sable 18 falls under deep color with a warm neutral undertone. The semi-fluid consistency of the foundation eases application. Just a drop of it, will be sufficient to cover the entire face and it blends so easily without forming any creases.
It’s light on your skin and gives a beautiful silk textured finish. There is no need for concealer as it gives a sheer to moderate coverage. The thicker composition of the foundation helps to conceal blemishes, dark spots and even acne scars to give an impeccable skin tone. I don’t use concealer as the foundation itself works better on my skin! I used Mac Prep + Prime finishing powder and Mac Prep + Prime fix for finishing. Longevity of the foundation is pretty good lasting for more than 4 – 5 hours.
Though it claims oil-free and suitable for dry combination to oily skin, it’s a pertinent choice for dry skin. For oily skin, it makes the skin look oilier. However, it leaves a beautiful sheen on your skin and it looks great for Photography. In both, photos with and without flashes, the skin tone looks natural and doesn’t give a painted look. I used the Clinique Superbalanced silk makeup foundation for my wedding and post wedding shoots, pictures were perfect and looks better! If you feel the skin becomes oilier, dab it with a blotting paper. SPF 15 in the foundation acts as a sunscreen.
The foundation is easy to remove! A simple wet-tissue works well. I didn’t use any make-up remover. I just wiped it out with a wet-tissue. There’s no irritation or acne outburst on the skin.
How to apply?
Moisturize the skin and then use a primer. Use your fingertips to apply the foundation and then blend it thoroughly using a foundation brush or sponge. Blending is the key essence of applying foundation.
Note:
Always buy Clinique foundations directly from the store. Do not buy it online unless and until you know the shade very well. At store, they help you to choose the shade that’s perfect for your skin tone.
