The day I learned to fly – Parasailing in Goa!! As we moved from Aguada Fort, we headed straight to Candolim Beach. It’s a 15 minute drive. When we reached, it was blazing hot.
It’s along the Calangute – Baga stretch. I love this place, because of the less crowds and cleaner beach. Sitting by the shore, watching the colorful parachutes flying in the sky made me so excited. Besides flying in the blue sky, you’ll be dipped in the blue sea for a moment and you’ll fly again! It’s so exhilarating!
Parasailing in North Goa:
As I was gleaming with happiness, a young lad far off by the shore came closer to us. Obviously, he was looking to book us for the parasailing ride. After considerable negotiation, we agreed for Rs. 1000 for us. We paid Rs.500 more for 2 more minutes’ flying time and for 2 more dips!
We left our footwear safely and wore a life jacket. A minute of Dos and Don’ts during the ride was explained. I felt that it was not a riskier one to try. A small speed boat came to pick us from the shore to the main boat where the parachute was towed.
Other than the helmsman, there were 2 of them in the main boat to help with parasailing. One of them will help to take pictures. And, the other one attached the Para-sail to Lazz and on me. As the boat sails, the parachute catches the wind to fly high.
Oh my, finally we’re flying!!
It’s just a 2 minute ride that will give you an experience of flying high on the broomstick just like Harry Potter… Someday, your dreams will take the wings and you’ll fly! And it’ll make it real to bring you happiness. Enchanted to fly? Do not miss parasailing in Goa!
As we were drenched, we headed straight to the hotel. Post-lunch, we started to explore Anjuna, Vagator beach. Also, do take a look at St. Francis Xavier Church – Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa and Harvalem Waterfalls Goa.
Pin for later!
