Whipped body butter recipe with mango butter

As cozy winter arrives, it’s time to indulge in some great skin care routine to prevent dry skin. Choosing the best moisturizer becomes a great deal. Hydrating body butters acts as intense moisturizers for the skin. Are you looking for how to make whipped body butter recipes?
Here’s a simple DIY whipped body butter recipe using Mango butter. It helps to deep moisturize the skin with active ingredients like mango butter and shea butter.

Mango butter helps to soften dry skin and protects from sun damage. It melts on the skin! Shea butter is highly moisturizing and nourishes the skin. Jojoba oil and Tamanu oil are good hydrating oils which are absorbed quickly and retain moisture. Rosehip oil helps to reduce dark spots and brightens the skin. Adding in Vitamin E oil helps to retain moisture. I always prefer neroli oil in all the DIY recipes because of its uplifting fragrance and calming tendency. This body butter recipe has beeswax which improves skin elasticity. If you want to make non – greasy body butter, then pop in a spoon of arrow root powder. However, it’s optional only!

Apply the whipped body butter and gently massage the skin. The best is to apply immediately after after a shower or bath. This mango body butter recipe has helped me greatly in reducing stretch marks on the skin and has completely replaced my store-bought moisturizers.

HOW TO MAKE MANGO BODY BUTTER
- In a heat-safe container, add all the butter and oils (except Vit E oil) along with beeswax. Place the container over a saucepan with an inch of water in it, creating a double boiler set-up to melt the ingredients. Stir until the butter melts and remove from flame.
- Add the vitamin E oil and fragrances of your choice and stir thoroughly.
- Allow the mixture to cool for 1 – 2 hours before whipping it. When it’s smooth and fluffy, transfer it to clean glass jars and store it in a cool place. I’ve stored it in the fridge. 🙂

NOTE: As it doesn’t contain water and it’s only oil-based, I’ve not added any preservatives. Besides, I do it in small batches which could be used in 3 – 4 weeks.
